Travel for celebrating life is the new meaningful travel trend and we are beyond happy to know this!

Have you realised how much the world and our way of life changed after the shock that the pandemic gave us?

Pablo and I are photographers and videographers in Paris. 💕 In 2017, living in Madrid, we started to build a network of photographer friends in many destinations around the world with the purpose of helping people capture moments of their special trips. Then 2020 came… 😷🦠

After the storm, calm has arrived. We now live in Paris, and we are finding that photographs of moments in our lives are more valuable than ever. We’ve been contacted by so many people to capture their travels that we got curious and did a little research on Google.

We all have those moments in life that we will never forget. It can be the day of our wedding, the birth of our children, or the first time we travel to a totally new country. These are the events that make our lives so special… And, according to Google, this 2022 we are traveling more to celebrate these moments. We say that we are traveling to celebrate life. From proposals and anniversaries, to new beginnings and life’s to-do lists, we are witnessing travel moments and experiences that change us.

Meaningful Travel

New research from Google has revealed that travel to celebrate “moments of life” is the new trend of this 2022, after the entire world continues to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. After lockdowns and restrictions caused endless events to be canceled or postponed, the meaningful travel trend is about traveling just for the sake of celebrating all those moments that were put on hold due to the pandemic.

A survey shows that 56% of Americans are more willing to celebrate a “moment in life” such as a proposal, a new job, a wedding or retirement. Of that group, 78% consider traveling to celebrate these moments.

Because travel was restricted for so long, we’ve all had time to dream and plan these trips – and it’s already happening in 2022. Life has given us a big shake-up and we no longer want to procrastinate. So now travelers are more determined to take the trips of their dreams to celebrate once-in-a-lifetime moments.

So what are these BIG moments we’re traveling through? We share the main reasons why travelers are hiring us to capture photos of their special trips.

Marriage Proposals

There are those who prefer to announce their engagement in a more discreet and local way. But now more than ever we are witnessing romantic requests under the moon and with the Eiffel Tower in the background in Paris, in gondolas along a tour of the canals of Venice, on pre-Hispanic pyramids in Palenque. Many couples are choosing their trips as the perfect moment to say yes for the rest of their lives, and there are many incredible places to do it.

Weddings

Whether you’re dreaming of your dream destination wedding or you’ve already gotten married and can’t wait to take that trip to splurge on honey with the love of your life, NOW is the perfect time to celebrate such a special moment by making a wonderful trip.

Elopement weddings or wedding getaways are in fashion. Many couples are choosing to have officiants in Paris marry them on the banks of the Seine River. With their closest relatives or simply with passing tourists as witnesses of their official declaration of love. We love this new way of bonding between two people who love each other.

Milestone Birthdays

Whether you’re turning 21 or 60, many people love to celebrate their birthdays with a special trip. Maybe you prefer to live those unique experiences that you have been dreaming of all your life or it is time to CELEBRATE in a big way in Las Vegas or Barcelona.
